Mad Kicks (501(c)3) was born out of realization of a need. When our namesake, Madison, was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and began treatment at the Perlman Center, Founder Marlene Thies became immersed in a community. It was evident that since adaptive shoes and socks weren't covered by government assistance, that families of children with disabilities were often limited to the footwear they could obtain. Children need comfortable shoes and socks that work well with their equipment and therapies, and thus Mad Kicks, LLC was born.

The Board of Directors for Mad Kicks LLC comes equipped with a variety of expertise and passions. Our respect for each other, dedication to our cause, and entrepreneurial spirit have brought and kept us together.
Founder & CEO
Marlene Thies
Marlene is married to her wonderful and supportive husband Steve and lives in Bellevue, KY with their three children, two dogs and turtle. Madison, is of course the face of Mad Kicks and the strongest person. She is four years old and loves riding horses and coloring. Middle child, Ava, is six and in first grade. She is on the dance team and is strongly devoted to God and loves talking about Jesus. Their son, Robby, is eight years old and on the swim and baseball team. He has a kind heart and is always doing special things for his parents and his sisters. All three children attend Catholic School.
Professionally, Marlene is a Sales Analyst on the Kroger Account for Post Consumer Brands. In her free time she trains for at least two half marathons a year and attends graduate school to obtain her MBA and Certificate in Nonprofit Management. Socially, Marlene enjoys attending her children's sporting events, concerts with friends, walking her two dogs, and watching Netflix with her husband.

Shannon Fladeland
Shannon has been married to her husband, Barry, for 17 years and lives in Burlington, KY. They have two sons, Luke (13) and Mason (11).
She is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a degree in Marketing and works at Campbell's.
Shannon's hobbies include running, cycling, going to concerts and spending time with my family and friends.
She is honored to be a part of the Mad Kicks non- profit organization and looks forward to making a difference in the lives of the children at the Perlman center.

Charity Hamilton
Charity is very honored to be part of Mad Kicks. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and especially loves her time with my only child, Cassandra.
Charity and her family love to travel. She loves seeing new places and learning new things. She is currently employed with St. Elizabeth Physicians as a Coordinator.
This organization is important to her, not only because of Madison but also because she has an aunt with CP. Charity considers herself fortunate to be in a position to help others and make a difference to many more people here at Mad Kicks.

Lori Deal
Lori is married to her husband of ten years, Ben, and has two children (ages three and seven) and one dog (13). The family of four resides in Fort Thomas, KY and lead a busy lifestyle full of soccer, gymnastics, swim, cheer, and music lessons. Socially, Lori stays rather active apart from her children's activities with her own hobbies of running, photography, woodworking/DIY, travel, and music. Similar to Marlene, and sometimes with Marlene, she enjoys road racing and especially half marathons in the Cincinnati area.
Professionally, Lori has a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati and has worked in Risk Management for the Financial Industry for the past twelve years. She is honored to be a part of this team and eager to make a difference with this organization.
